3-D Building Information Modeling Systems –
Adding Value to Your Project
Turner utilizes 3D animations of the above-ceiling Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) sequence to coordinate the installation process. The 3D BIM Design Validation is a process that Turner has implemented on various projects that helps identify, discuss and resolve constructability issues and coordination problems early in the process when they are easier to resolve. As a result, the project schedule can be accelerated and MEP coordination-related conditions in the field are substantially reduced.
Attendees will have an opportunity to view a typical 3D model and Turner will demonstrate the software system that identifies the “clashes” that typically exist between mechanical/electrical systems on a typical construction project.
