CFM Beta Test
Beginning in January 2007, the test will be available
at Prometric testing centers throughout North America. To
find the center most convenient for you, please visit Prometric’s
web site at: http://securereg3.prometric.com/
There will be no charge to those taking the test. The
testing period will continue until results are sufficient
for statistical analysis, so please try to set your appointment
for the earliest possible date. You will be notified in
advance if the test period will be ending before your appointment
date.
The test consists of 379 multiple choice questions. First,
there will be a brief tutorial to acquaint testers with
the software program. When the test begins, the timer will
start at 7.5 hours. The test will end when all questions
have been answered or when the time runs out, whichever
comes first. After the test has ended, testers must complete
a brief survey regarding their level of FM expertise.
Testers will be able to take short "bio breaks" as
needed during which the timer will not be
stopped. There will be one thirty-minute
lunch break which pauses the timer; it can be taken at any
time. Testers may leave the testing center during the lunch
break only.
If you are a CFM: You may claim
ten maintenance points on your next renewal.
If you are taking the test to earn your CFM: Testers
who wish to have their beta test answers scored to earn
the CFM must meet all CFM requirements.
(Results will not be available until after the CFM Exam
revision process is completed, which could be as long as
six months.)
